Learning to swim and be safe around water is one of the most important life skills your child will learn. You may have been told that a swim school or certain swim lesson curriculum is the only way for your child to learn to swim. That is simply not true. Swim schools can be really expensive, have difficult scheduling, or you may not even have a reputable swim school near you. If you have access to a pool, whether thats in your own yard, in your apartment complex, at grandmas house or elsewhere in your community, you can successfully teach your child to swim. It is important to be guided in your teaching by a professional, who can help you understand and structure your at-home swim lessons in a simple, easy-to-follow lesson plan.
Our Core Principles
You might have heard of other learn to swim programs and are wondering how ours is different.
These are a couple of our core philosophies.
1. Safety First
Our curriculum is a safety first approach to swimming. It is extremely important that your young child knows and understands how to be safe in and around water. They will learn applicable swimming and self-rescue skills in a gentle, loving environment.
2. Simple Techniques
Learning to swim can be challenging for some young children, however, our curriculum is designed to set you up for success as a teacher by using simple, repetitive techniques that are easy to build on as your child progresses.
3. Learning to Love Swimming
It is so important to nurture a lifelong love of swimming and respect of water in your child. That is why our curriculum, while safety based, still leaves room for fun & bonding with your child.
Lessons for Everyone!
Our mission is that every child learn to swim and be safe around water and our goal is to meet caregivers & children where they are. Our lessons can be used with children and caregivers of all abilities. We are here to guide you and your child every “pull & kick” of the way.
